Things to do... outside!
Seven Summits of Big Bear
Why do we climb them? Because they’re there.
This is your chance to really play in your own backyard. What an accomplishment
it will be for you to be able to know and say that you have visited all of Big
Bear’s peaks AND that you did it in one year!
The hikes are free; our obligation is simply to preserve the forest as we
enjoy it (and respect USFS regulations). Join us and be part of the first Seven
Summits of Big Bear team! Hikes run through August.
You can do it!

National Get Outdoors Day - June 14
National Get Outdoors Day is a celebration of a movement to help our children seek out healthy, active outdoor lives and to embrace America's Great Outdoors - our parks, our forests, our refuges and other public lands and waters. Big Bear was chosen as one of only one hundred sites across the country to host an event due to our stock of national resources and accessibilty to LA, San Diego and Las Vegas. The organizer at the SBNFA was out of the office as of this writing, so look forward to more specific local info soon. For now, the link below will take you to general information about the national campaign.
